Mod Films is a video production company based in Camden, London. Its owner, Joseph Thompson, is a passionate film maker and award winning photographer. Mod Films wants to bring young and creative film makers to its customers in London and around the world. We're a small company but boy do we pack a punch. Keeping our customers happy is at the heart of Mod Films. That means creating great content that keeps them coming back for more.
Our Work
Mod Films is a full service production company. Meaning we can take care of your project from start to finish. And there's no limits for us. Want to shoot a commercial in New York, we've got you. You have a documentary idea to shoot in remote China, bring it on! We have heaps of experience shooting all around the world. The Mod team will guide you through pre production smoothly, have really fun shoot days and create your perfect vision in post production.
Our Team
The Mod team is built up of some young and creative freelance film crew. As well as the Mod in-house team. These brilliant minds create the all star team for your production. The Mod producers will bring this collective together to move your production to an end smoothly. We're a friendly bunch of people and find great enjoyment in what we do. The Founder
Joseph Thompson
Joseph Thompson is the founder of Mod Films. Prior to running his production company, Joseph’s main work was shooting and directing short form documentaries. Mostly based around sustainability and the UN SDG’s. The videos featured on BBC, CNN, Reuters, UN and more. The majority of his work featured companies who have sustainable practises and projects, that wanted to tell their story. Examples of this are Toyota launching their new e-truck and car range in USA or Huawei helping rural villages in Nigeria connect to the internet. He has a vast amount of experience travelling around the world to capture these stories in video form.
Now running Mod Films, his work is closer to home. Working on mostly commercial content but still delving into similar past projects. Joseph is also an award winning photographer and licensed drone operator. In his free time he likes to work on his vintage motorcycle and go for walks with his wife and sheep dog.
